Ministry Report
This past weekend (April 27th, 2013) we presented a “Stepping Up and Stepping Out” event for the saints of Green Ridge Baptist Church. The purpose of which was to encourage and train up the body of Christ for the good work of evangelism. We ourselves were encouraged by the participants and their love for Christ as we saw it displayed in their eagerness to be obedient to the great commission. After the event we hit the streets of the Vinton Dogwood Festival where so many of the church members jumped in handing out gospel tracts, engaging in one-to-one witness conversations and praying with fellow labors. During our entire time sharing Christ no one was arrested and no one was hurt or harassed. But even had we been it is the love of Christ that allows us to endure. It is a compassion for the lost that swallows up our fear. As the scripture reminds us:
“For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discourage in your souls.”
Hebrews 12:3
We extend thanks and gratitude to Senior Pastor Mike Palmer who is celebrating 25 years of service to the church, Pastor Greg Moser and Pastor David Mc Nees for their help and for allowing us to present to the church.
