Texas Conference Ministry Report
This past weekend (2/22/13) we spent with the saints of Mont Belvieu Baptist Church as we presented our Stepping Up and Stepping Out event. We were encouraged by the percentage of participation by the congregation and the vision of the senior pastor, Jake Porter; who all want to impact their local community for Christ. Taking the gospel outside the walls of the church was the mission of these men and women. In this area, there are many who have some religious Christian background or experience, but who have never fully or accurately understood the full gospel message. We had many encounter with the lost after the event as our team and the church members practiced obedience to Christ’s command to “preach the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)
We are very thankful for the Texas hospitality we received, to Tommy Brent and his wonderful wife Whitney as they drove us around from airport to church (having to get up quite early for our flight home), the Porter Family for putting us up, as well as the rest we failed to mention; we thank you all. Please keep this church in your prayers and if you ever pass by this nice Texas town, please stop in and worship with them.
