On June 8th, Hearts For The Lost traveled to Tupelo, Mississippi to conduct evangelism training for a new church plant, Journey Church, which is led by Pastor Neil Davis. Afterwards, the team and church went out to share our faith in downtown Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley. It so happened that weekend was the Elvis Festival.
That afternoon members of the church and others came out with us to share Christ. Later that night we came back out to bring the gospel to the many that flocked to Tupelo to share in the festival activities and concerts. Many people heard the gospel that day. On Sunday our very own Scotty Logue preached a sermon called, “What’s in your Testimony.”
It was a blessing to learn that some had already begun to be faithful to Christ’s command to go and preach the gospel by heading out that Sunday afternoon with the purpose of being a witness. Please pray the members of the church will continue to step out in faith and bring Christ to their families, friends and neighbors.
