God-is-not-mad-at-you

God is Not Mad at You…?

This sign is ever so true, or rather should I say, this sign is true from a certain point of view.

It might be better if this sign actually read:

Our God is not mad at you.

 !!No matter what you’ve done!!”

Idolatry is by far the most common offense of the 10 Commandments that I have found when witnessing in the general public. Often times I find that people have made an image of God that they are very comfortable with. They have created a God, within their imagination, that does not mind their particular pet sins.

As far as they’re concerned, they are truly convinced that everything is well between them and their God.

And they are right.

Unfortunately, their God does not exist. He/she or whatever, is a complete fabrication, and has no abilities, nor has ever accomplished anything, nor ever will accomplish anything let alone salvation.

Neither does their God contain truth. Concepts such as justice, righteousness, mercy, long-suffering, and grace are all skewed by a tolerance of iniquity.

It is only when the moral compass of God’s holy law is used, that they get an understanding of truth and justice and the complete inability of their God to provide mercy.

Suppose for a moment, that God is not angry. What then would be the value of grace? As others before me have said – if you make little of sin, you will make little of grace.

Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
