As I prepared to leave our evangelism booth at the local 4-H fair to do some one-to-one with fellow evangelist and friend Ed he shared with me why his backpack was so heavy. In it he had a complete Greek and Hebrew parallel text and a Qur’an in English and Arabic. (My daughter is pictured struggling to hold it up) Ed is heavily involved in Islamic apologetics and was fully prepared with his big guns. I thank God for his dedication and effort to bring the truth to these people. However Ed would be one of the first to tell you that you do not need to be schooled in deep theological topics in order to be a witness for Christ. God has given you an ally called the conscience. With the 10 big guns of God’s law the Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin. Remember, it is never by your knowledge, personality or people skills that some are saved. It is by the power of God that some are saved. (Romans 1:6)
